1 Day 1: Santa Cruz

Arrive by flight to Santa Cruz, agency staff will pick you up at the airport and the city tour will start. This city tour begins at the Main Square “Plaza 24 de Septiembre”, where you will have a close view of the Cathedral “Basilica Menor de San Lorenzo”. Visit also “Arte Campo” (crafts shop located in a very traditional house). Then you will be transferred to “Biocentro Güembé”, a natural paradise surrounded by exotic plants, rainforests and native animals located just a few minutes away from the city. Here you will find a beautiful variety of flora and fauna through natural areas, paths and ponds. Enjoy also some recreational activities for all ages around the pool and cafeteria. Transfer back to Santa Cruz and overnight at your selected hotel*.

2 Day 2: Samaipata

Breakfast at the hotel. Pick up and full day excursion to Samaipata Ruins, about 120 km from Santa Cruz. The road to the ancient fort leads through the mountainous Andean area called “Volcanes”. This archeological site was built for magic rites by a pre-Incan culture. Visit also the village and the archeological museum. Then take a bath beneath the waterfalls (Las Cuevas and el Chorro). Lunch. Return to Santa Cruz. Overnight at your selected hotel*.

3 Day 3: Surce

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer from your hotel in Santa Cruz to the airport. Flight from Santa Cruz to Sucre. Pick up at the airport and transfer to your selected hotel. Sucre City Tour. When you visit Sucre and its museums, you can understand the past and present of this unique city. During this tour you will visit ASUR Textile Museum, House of Liberty (where Simon Bolivar signed the independence of Bolivia), San Felipe de Nery Monastery, America’s second oldest university (Universidad Mayor Real y Pontificia San Francisco Xavier de Chuquisaca), the local colorful market, and La Recoleta Church. Overnight at your selected hotel*.

4 Day 4: Tarabuco

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day excursion to the famous Tarabuco native fair. On Sunday, Tarabuco becomes the most picturesque market well known for its wonderful Indian weavings. The natives still wear leather helmets similar to those used by the Spanish Conquerors. Lunch in a local restaurant in Tarabuco. Afternoon return to Sucre and overnight at your selected hotel*.

5 Day 5: Potosi

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer from Sucre to Potosí, the famous Colonial City and source of silver during colonial times. The rich mountain towers over the city and -according to legend- it has produced enough silver to build a solid silver bridge from Potosi to Madrid. Potosi was declared by UNESCO “The Historical and Cultural Legacy of Mankind". Visit La Casa de La Moneda (Royal Mint), whose wooden machinery was used to make the silver coins for Spain during the colony. Visit also Santa Teresa Convent, where you will be able to see not only its unique beauty, but the way of living inside those walls during colonial times. Overnight at your selected hotel*.

6 Day 6: Potosi

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit a colonial mine still under activity, where you will see the process of mineral extraction. Visit the images of “El Tío” and “Tata Kajchito”, masters of the mine. Transfer from Potosí to Uyuni. Box Lunch. Before going to your hotel, visit the village of Uyuni. Dinner and overnight at a salt hotel*.

7 Day 7: Uyuni

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Colchani, the Salt Museum and a salt factory, to observe the salt extraction process. Visit also Montones de Sal and Ojos de Agua. Then, excursion to the Salt Lake and Isla Pescado. Uyuni is the largest salt flat on earth, located on the Bolivian Andean Altiplano with 12.000 square Km; the Bolivian Andes offer stunning sceneries which can be hardly matched. The sound of silence makes the heart beats faster and the surreal pentagons of crystalline salt, the pure sky, the color lagoons, the cacti and the flamingos, certainly makes you feel that there is no other place like this in the whole world. Lunch at Isla Pescado, also called “Incahuasi”, an oasis with formations of algae and fossils. It is covered by thousands of giant columnar cacti, which can be more than a hundred years old, growing to a height of over 12 mtrs. The landscape against the background of the salt pans extending to the horizon makes it an ideal place for photography hunters. Drive to Uyuni and day use in a local hotel until your transfer to the Train Station. Night train from Uyuni to Oruro*.

8 Day 8: Lapaz

Regular bus from Oruro to La Paz. Pick up from La Paz bus station and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at your selected hotel*.

9 Day 9: Tiwanaku - Titicaca Lake

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day tour to the archaeological site of Tiwanaku. Tiwanaku culture (1.580 BC-1.000 AD) and the magnificent ruins of Bolivia are one of the oldest civilizations in the Americas. The Sun Gate, the Temple of Kalasasaya, the Pyramid of Akapana, and the Puma Punku Temple are the sample of a glorious past. Tiwanaku culture was an agrarian based economy with an estimated population of 115.000 inhabitants. The state controlled agriculture produced the surplus wealth to support the urban centre and administrative system. They were outstanding in agriculture, hydraulic, architecture & medicine, as well as in social organization. Due to an economic crisis caused by a long dry season, Tiwanaku collapsed around 1.000 AD. Lunch in a local restaurant. Transfer to Huatajata. On arrival, visit the Andean Roots Eco Village, The Altiplano Museum, Handicrafts Village, the Mud Igloos and the Mortuary Towers of the Urus Chipayas. Meet the Limachi family, builders of the RA II and Tigris for epic expeditions across the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy our elegant vicuñas, llamas, alpacas and the mythical Suri. Audiovisual presentation and night experience of "The Mystic World of the Kallawayas", natural healers of Bolivia who believe that you first have to heal the soul in order to heal your body. Tata Benjo -our Kallawaya- will bless visitors and answer questions by casting his sacred coca leaves. Welcome drink and candlelight dinner. By night, visit the Native Observatory Alajpacha. Learn from the Aymaras Cosmovision and watch the southern constellations. Overnight at the Inca Utama Hotel & SPA.

10 Day 10: Titicaca Lake

Breakfast at the hotel. Hydrofoil cruise to the Urus Iruitos Floating Islands & Quewaya Sustainable Project, a rescue of an over 5.000 years old culture and a social project created to assure their survival. Enjoy a breathtaking view of the Royal Range of the Andes. Hydrofoil cruise to Moon Island, visit the Sun Virgins Temple “Iñak Uyu”. Continue to Sun Island to visit the Inca Grand Stairs and the Sacred Fountain, whose waters are believed to give eternal youth and happiness. Lunch at the Uma Kollu archaeological restaurant. Visit the small handicraft market. Hydrofoil cruise to Copacabana, located at the shores of Titicaca Lake. Once in Copacabana, visit the shrine and the Dark Virgin. Dinner and overnight at the Inca Utama Hotel & SPA.

Breakfast at the hotel. City Tour in La Paz. The City of La Paz and its surroundings can transport you to a mysterious past where any corner, any street, is a hidden treasure where adventure begins; a living history which treasures the pre-Hispanic times with all their traditions and magic rites on its streets. The indigenous, colonial and modern areas, Indian Market, Witch Doctor's Market & breathtaking panoramas are all framed by the majestic "Illimani" mountain.
