You will leave Santiago in the afternoon for San Pedro de Atacama and the Cordillera de la Sal, a wonder of nature formed millions of years ago and filled with unusual geological formations. Afterwards, it's off to the Valle de la Luna, a natural sanctuary, rugged yet of great geographical beauty, especially at night fall when it takes on a rather lunar appearance. You will travel through different sectors and visit the Tres Marias (three Marias), a natural salt formation, a salt mine, caves, and a lookout. Last stop on the trip is the Duna Central, where you will experience nightfall in the desert, then it is back to your hotel.

Another afternoon departure, this time towards Toconao. The road goes straight through a grassy plain, and in the distance is the volcano, Mount Licancabur. There are plenty of native trees to see on the way, like the tamarugo and the chañar. When you reach the town, you will be 2475 meters above sea level, but it is an oasis, an orchard where all types of fruit trees have been planted. There will be a short sightseeing trip to the town square, the church, and the San Lucas Tower, a national landmark. The houses are unique in the sense that they are made from volcanic rock. After this, you venture into the Salar de Atacama, Chile's largest salt deposit, inside Los Flamencos National Reserve. To end the journey, you will stay for nightfall, a spectacular experience that only the peace and quiet of the salt flat can offer. Afterwards, it's back to San Pedro.

You will leave very early in the morning on route to the highest peaks in the Andes and finally to the Tatio geyser field, at an elevation of 4321 meters. The geysers are connected to Mount Tatio, a volcano. Here, you will take a quick tour of the geyser field and witness enormous steam plumes, some reaching 6 meters in height. You will then eat breakfast to recharge the batteries and take off on a short hike through the area to look at its characteristic plants and animals, like viscachas and guanacos. In the afternoon, you will return to San Pedro.

You will be transferred to Calama for your return.
