1 Day 1:Tuesday | Zagreb

Transfer on the day of the tour from Zagreb airport, or an other hotel in Zagreb to the Tour hotel, rest of the day at lesisure.

Dinner and overnight in Zagreb (Zagreb area).

2 Day 2: Wednesday | Zagreb - Ljubljana

Morning sightseeing tour of Zagreb, Croatian capital city, during which you will have the opportunity to see the fortified Upper Town, the city’s historical centre, St Mark’s church with its multi-coloured roof, the Cathedral, Croatian National Theatre and the University. Afternoon departure to Ljubljana, Slovenian capital where you will have a guided tour of the most significant sights of its old centre: the picturesque Central open-air Market and the Three Bridges, the Baroque Town Hall and Robba’s Fountain.

Dinner and overnight in Ljubljana (Ljubljana area).

3 Day 3: Thursday | Ljubljana - Postojna - Opatija - Otočac

Morning departure to Postojna, followed by a visit of the Postojna cave. This 20-km long karst cave system with its web of underground passages, galleries and chambers is the largest cave of the “classic karst” and the most visited show cave in Europe. The journey continues towards Opatija, the jewel of the northern Adriatic wher you will have time for a nice walk on the famous Opatija promenade. Continuation to the Otočac, Plitvice lakes area.

4 Day 4: Friday | Otočac - Plitvice - Zadar - Split

Morning departure to Plitvice National Park, a well-known UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tour of the 16 crystal - blue lakes cascading into 92 spectacular waterfalls. Walk on the wooden promenades with magnificent views on the waters where every turn leads to a breathtaking scenery and yet another waterfall. Surrounded by dense woods, Plitvice lakes are a natural phenomenon of rare and unique beauty. 

Departure towards Zadar, where upon arrival we'll be taking you for a guided walking tour through the Roman Forum from the 2nd century BC, passing by the 9th century pre-Romanesque church of St. Donatus as well as St. Anastasia church. Departure to Split. Dinner and overnight in Split (Split area).

5 Day 5: Saturday | Split - Dubrovnik

After breakfast, a city tour of Split will uncover the secrets of the UNESCO protected Diocletian’s Palace with its charming little streets, the Peristyle, Jupiter’s Temple and the Cathedral. Early afternoon departure to Dubrovnik. Upon arrival, city tour of this UNESCO protected pearl of the Adriatic and its Cathedral (no entrance to Treasury).

6 Day 6:Sunday | Dubrovnik

Optional Day excursion to Montenegro. Departure from the hotel driving through Konavle valley and around the bay of Kotor, arrival to Risan; tour of the Roman Mosaics cotinuing drive to Perast and boat ride to the islet of Our Lady of the Rock, sightseeing of the Baroque church from the 17th century. After Perast we are going towards the town of Kotor sightseeing tour with local guide (no entrance fees) free time in Kotor departure from Kotor. Short ferry ride across the Bay of Kotor and drive towards Dubrovnik and arrival back to the hotel.

7 Day 7:Monday | Dubrovnik - Mostar - Sarajevo

Morning departure to Mostar, city of bridges, where the traveller from the south gets the first glimpse of the continent beyond. Orientational walk with your tour leader in Mostar and free time for lunch. Departure to Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sarajevo is one of the historically most interesting cities in Europe. It is the place where the Western & the Eastern Roman Empire split and where the people of the Orthodox East, the Ottoman south and the Roman Catholic West met, both an example of the clash of civilizations and of historical turbulences and a beacon of hope for peace and tolerance, reached through multi-cultural integration. City tour of Sarajevo upon arrival.

8 Day 8:Tuesday | Sarajevo - Osijek- Vukovar

Morning departure to Osijek, the largest city in eastern Croatia, beautifully settled on the banks of Drava river. Osijek remains a popular tourist destination for its Baroque style, open spaces and lots of recreational opportunities. Located in one of the most fertile and most certainly the biggest agricultural area of Croatia, the town is its semi-official gastronomic capital.

City tour passes by the Cathedral and the Tvrdja (Old Fort). Departure towards Vukovar. Vukovar is the biggest Croatian river port located at the confluence of Vuka river in the Danube, a town also known as a symbol of the Croatian war for independence,  as it arose from the ashes of the '90s into the proud city that it is today.

9 Day 9:Wednesday | VUKOVAR - Zagreb

Morning departure to Djakovo. The first thing you see when approaching Djakovo from either side is the brightness of the bricks of the two towers and cupolas of its Cathedral, beauty of which can not be compared to any other from Venice to Istanbul. After the visit, departure towards Zagreb followed by a visit to the Ethno Village of Stara Kapela for a snack (no drinks included). Upon arrival sightseeing tour of Zagreb, Croatian capital city, during which you will have the opportunity to see the fortified Upper Town, the city’s historical centre, St Mark’s church with its multi-coloured roof, the Cathedral, Croatian National Theatre and the University.

Transfer on the day of the tour to Zagreb airport or hotels in Zagreb.
