2 Day 2: Paris

Guided tour of the Louvre Museum in morning.

Your minibus will collect you from your hotel at 8.30am. Situated in the heart of Paris between the Seine's rive droite (right bank) and the rue de Rivoli, the Louvre Museum is home to varied, cosmopolitan, timeless works of art. Make the most of this cultural excursion to admire all the treasures the museum has to offer. Your trip to this veritable temple of art in Paris will shed light on some of its most important masterpieces. You will be accompanied by a qualified guide.

Just before lunch, riding train to Montmartre dominated by the Sacré-Cœur.

Lunch in a typical Parisian restaurant on the Place du Tertre, famous for its many artists.

An inspiration to 19th and 20th century painters such as Pissarro, Toulouse-Lautrec, Modigliani or Picasso, the Montmartre district continues to fascinate with its quaint nooks and crannies, each a picture postcard of old Paris: street painters, strolling artists, bistros, cafés with their outdoor tables, cabarets and restaurants, all so typically Parisian.

Head northward to discover the Montmartre vineyard, the only one left in Paris. Then go southward to the foot of Sacré Coeur and there you will find, quite simply, the most beautiful panoramic view of the French capital to be had. Even the quarter's inhabitants themselves never tire of it!

Visit Paris Romantic Museum. This museum is located in the house of the painter AryScheffer, built in 1830. It recreates a harmonious historical setting evoking the romantic period. The ground floor is devoted to George Sand: 17th and 19th century portraits, furniture and jewellery. On the first floor, AryScheffer's paintings are surrounded by contemporary works. Two annual temporary exhibitions are organized as well as concerts, readings and activities for children. In the museum's garden, the seasonal tea room, a real haven of peace open from March to October, invites you in for a tasty snack.

Visit Paris Romantic Wall, a work of art conceived by Frédéric Baron and Claire Kito, is a must-see for couples from all over the world visiting Paris, the city of romance. The wall, covering a surface area of 40m², is composed of 612 squares of enamelled lava, on which 'I love you' features 311 times in 250 languages. The splashes of red on the fresco represent parts of a broken heart, symbolizing the human race which has been torn apart and which the wall tries to bring back together.

3 Day 3: Paris

Visit Versailles with tickets to the Palace of Versailles with an audio-guide, queue jump. Discover the world-famous Palace of Versailles! The sheer grandeur and sumptuous style of the site are sure to leave you spell-bound. Your guide will recount the palace's history as you admire the splendour of this architectural masterpiece, built during the reign of Louis XIV. Relive the heyday of his reign and those of the monarchs who came after him!
