1 Day 1: Bordeaux

Arrival in Bordeaux. Transfer from Airport or Train station to check in at your centrally located hotel.

Enjoy a private Bordeaux guided walking tour with your English speaking guide. During your tour you will discover the most famous monuments and landmarks that the city has to offer. Bordeaux has been classified a “City of Art and History” and is home to one of Europe largest collection of the 18th century architecture. As you walk through imposing squares and handsome avenues, you will see big-ticket attractions such as the neo-classical Grand Théâtre or Saint Adrews Cathedral where young Eleanor of Aquitaine married Louis VII.

2 Day 2: Bordeaux - Pauillac - Bordeaux

Breakfast at your hotel.

Pick up at your hotel by your private coach. This morning, your tour will depart for the left bank of the Garonne River towards the Medoc wine producing region. Your day will included the visit and wine tasting in 3 carefully selected 1855 Classified Growth Chateau known for the quality of their wines. Your Chateau tours will begin with the technical installations visit so as to better understand the chemistry & technical complexity involved in the wine making process. Visits also point out the importance of the soil and weather conditions, which French language translates into one word: Terroir.

All visits are private and will be for our small group only.

Lunch will be taken in a carefully selected local restaurant.

Your day will also bring you along the ‘Route des Chateaux’ so that you may admire some of the most famous estates such as Chateau Palmer, Chateau Margaux or Chateau PichonLongueville for great photos opportunities.

3 Day 3: Bordeaux - Saint-Émilion - Sarlat-la-Canéda

Today the wine region known as the Libournais is on your program. Located on the right bank of the Garonne River, you will discover the Saint-Emilion beautiful region, a UNESCO world heritage site also known for its Merlot based wines. Here you will first enjoy a private visit and taste wines in a carefully selected Classified Growth Chateau. Once arrived in Saint-Emilion village, enjoy a unique private visit of the village underground monuments including the Monolithic Church. The tour covers several centuries of history and legend from the time of the monk Emilion to the amazing monolithic church carving out. You will be able to see paintings in the Trinity Chapel and learn the catacombs secrets.

After lunch, you will be transferred to your hotel in Sarlat la Canéda, in the heart of the Dordogne region.

4 Day 4: Sarlat-la-Canéda

Few regions sum up the attractions of France better than the Dordogne. With its rich food, heady history, château-studded countryside and picturesque villages, the Dordogne is without any doubt one of the most enchanting provincial destinations. This morning, follow your guide to discover the historical town of Sarlat. A picturesque tangle of honey-colored buildings, alleyways and secret squares make up the beautiful town which boasts some of the region's best-preserved medieval architecture.

After lunch, your afternoon will bring you along the Dordogne valley. Here, you will encounter Medieval Fortresses such as Castelnau and Beynac, visit some of the most beautiful villages such as Domme or La Roque Gageac and enjoy a relaxing boat ride along the River.

5 Day 5: Sarlat-la-Canéda - Sarlat-la-Canéda

Pick up at your hotel by your private coach. Some 15000 years B.JC, unknown artists created breathtaking cave paintings, the most extraordinary examples of which have been found in the Dordogne area.

During this day you will be introduced to this fascinating art. Begin in Les Eyzies de Tayac for the National Prehistory Museum guided visit. Opened in 2004, this national museum possesses the largest collection of prehistoric artifacts in the world.

Enjoy your lunch.

Continue to Montignac where you will visit Lascaux II cave, a perfect reproduction of the original cave. Opened in 1983, Lascaux II is a triumph of technology, as rigorous scientific and artistic methods were used to recreate the incomparable atmosphere of the original cave.

Finally, end the tour by the Rouffignac Cave visit that possesses original and authentic etchings and drawings. Famous archaeologists like Henry Breuil, André Glory and Martel had visited the cave in the early 20th century, but it was only in 1956 when Louis-René Nougier and Romain Robert, two pre-historians from the Pyrenees, rediscovered the cave that the cave art have been confirmed.

6 Day 6: Sarlat-la-Canéda - Rocamadour - Albi

Pick up at your hotel by your private coach. Today you leave the Dordogne region to discover some of the most beautiful villages that the Midi Pyrenees region has to offer.

Your first stop will be in Rocamadour breathtaking village that attracts visitors for its setting in a gorge above the Dordogne River tributary. The village is renowned for its historical monuments and its Blessed Virgin Mary sanctuary, which has brought for centuries pilgrims from every country.

After lunch, transfer to Saint CirqLapopie village. Elected as French people favourite village in 2012, its perched on a steep cliff position for defense (100 m above the Lot River) is one the best preserved village in the area.

Your final visit is CordessurCiel village. It is a history and art living piece village, holding alive in its stones the memory of those who passed through it since its creation by the Count of Toulouse in 1222. Its exceptional site and remarkable architectural heritage make it one of the most significant medieval cities in France.

7 Day 7: Albi - Roquefort - Millau

Pick up at your hotel by your private coach. After a short drive, arrive in Albi. Follow your guide on a private walking tour that will bring you to the Episcopal City center around two immense medieval buildings: The Saint-Cecile Cathedral which is the largest brick-built cathedral in the world, and the Berbie Palace which is Albi bishops former fortified residence, and now it is the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum which collect the artist largest public collection.

After a private visit in the Museum, enjoy your lunch.

On the afternoon, transfer to Roquefort to visit a famous cheese making complex. Roquefort is a sheep milk blue cheese aged in the natural Combalou caves of Roquefort-sur-Soulzon. Your visit will give you details about the way the cheese is made and you will end the tour with a tasting session. Finally, reach the Millau viaduct that opened to traffic in December 2004.

Designed by a British Architect, Norman Foster, the 2.4 km cable-stayed bridge has been consistently ranked as one of the great engineering achievements of all time. Here you will enjoy a stop right next to the bridge for an amazing visit. You will also be able to understand all the construction phases thanks to the visit of a dedicated area.

8 Day 8: Millau - Uzès - Avignon

This morning drive through the Tarn Canyon. Within each turn the drive becomes even more beautiful, never monotonous.

Reach Uzes where you will have some free time for personal discovery. Enjoy your lunch before visiting one of the most prestigious Roman monuments still standing, the Gard Bridge. A true masterpiece of ancient architecture, the aqueduct is one of the most beautiful Roman constructions in the region. It is the principal construction that supplied Nîmes City with water.

The figures are impressive: over 21,000 cubic meters of rock, weigh around 50,400 tones!

Then, transfer to Avignon and check in at your hotel. Overnight in Avignon.

9 Day 9: Avignon - Les Baux-de-Provence - Gordes - Avignon

Provence and all its highlights are on your program today. Start your day with Avignon guided walking tour including the Popes’ Palace. The city is one of the few in France to have preserved its ramparts. In addition, its historic center, the palace of the Popes, Rocher des Doms, and the Avignon Bridge are well-preserved.

After your visit, transfer to the Provence countryside to visit some of the most beautiful villages in the area.

Enjoy your lunch.

Begin with Les Baux, a hilltop village that has retained its historical center with beautiful houses built during the 16th century, the St Vincent Church and delight Romanesque buildings.

Then head to Gordes, another perched village in the Luberon, one of «the most beautiful villages in France », famous for its dry stone architecture.

Finally, end the day with Roussillon visit, another «most beautiful villages in France» famous for its red and yellow ochre cliffs, and unusual natural landscape. Return to your hotel in Avignon.

10 Day 10: Avignon - Aix-en-Provence - Cassis - Bandol

This morning experience Aix en Provence, one of the Southern part of France jewel. Known as the town of water and art, it was founded in 123 BC on a natural spring water site. You will see numerous fountains all over the town, the most famous is located on the main street “Cours Mirabeau”. The tour will also bring you to the elegant Quartier Mazarin residential area where sumptuous private houses were built in the mid 1600's.

In the old town you will discover pretty winding streets with everyday markets, shops, fountains and squares.

After the tour, transfer to Cassis. This small fishing harbor, nestled between two natural sites (the famous Calanques and the majestic Cap Canaille), offers to visitors a concentrate of Provence and the Mediterranean.

After lunch, enjoy a boat ride that will take you along the sheltered inlets called Calanques that are one of the natural wonders in the area. After the boat ride, enjoy some free time and personal discovery. Check in at your hotel in the Bandol area. Overnight in Bandol.

11 Day 11: Bandol - Sainte-Maxime - Saint-Raphaël - Nice

Today is dedicated to small villages visit. They are located along the Mediterranean coast before reaching Nice City. You will travel along the most scenic parts of the coast road known as the “Corniche des Maures” to admire the most breathtaking landscapes and natural environment that this part of France has to offer. Your guide will give you the opportunity to stop in some of the most beautiful villages in the region so as to experience the local feel. Lunch will be eaten along the way.

Finally arrive in Nice and check in at your hotel. Overnight in Nice.
